Editorial illustration of Acne Vulgaris Pathology

Pathology of Acne Vulgaris

Produced as part of a graduate pathology course, this two-page spread is designed to explain and visualize the pathology of acne vulgaris. The different stages of acne are depicted at both the gross and cellular scale. Since acne classifications are histologically distinct and sequential, I use tissue cubes to present the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease. Due to the prevalence of acne, I decided to feature information relevant to those suffering from acne, including acne treatment and misconceptions.
